My “day job”, is as freelance business affairs, IP, data protection and AI lawyer focussing on advising media and creative businesses on legal and business affairs matters relating to the creation and exploitation of intellectual property of all descriptions. This includes advising on the metaverse, web3, NFTs (“digital collectibles”), digital fashion and the development and deployment of AI. I am probably the first lawyer to mint an NFT (two, actually) and list them on OpenSeas, where they sadly remain unsold.

My CV includes working at PPL and Sony Music as well as advising EMI Music Continental Europe, V2 Music, news publishers, TV production companies, podcast producers, music publishers and computer games designers (amongst others). Since 2020 I have been an angel investor, focussing on female-founded tech start-ups – including Figaro - and firmly believe that this is a topic that urgently needs to be demystified for both businesses seeking investment and those who might consider investing in them.
